How to create an instant flower

Creating a stunning flower graphic in Adobe Illustrator is easy when you use the Star Tool. 

Start by selecting the Star Tool. 

Then set the number of points to 30. This will give your design the intricate, petal-like appearance that mimics a flower.

Add a radial gradient to your star shape, with a darker color in the center. This gradient effect helps the shape feel more dynamic and layered, adding a touch of depth.

Select the star shape, copy it, and paste it directly on top of the original. Then, significantly reduce the size of this second star to form the inner layer of your flower.

To merge the two layers, go to the Blend Tool, as discussed in a previous post. In Blend Options, set Specified Steps to 30, which determines the smoothness of your blend. 

Then go to Object > Blend > Make. 

This will create streaked layers between the two shapes, enhancing the floral effect.

For a final touch, go to Effect > Distort & Transform > Tweak. 

You can customize these settings for a more organic look, but it’s not essential.
